Project Overview & Objectives
This collaborative art initiative addresses school bullying through creative prevention strategies. To date, the project has successfully implemented site-specific mural installations within educational institutions across Berlin (Germany), Thorshavn (Faroe Islands), and the Helsinki metropolitan area (Finland).
Methodology & Student Engagement
The process initiates with a facilitated dialogue exploring the dynamics of bullying. Following this introduction, students participate in a collaborative workshop to design "anti-bullying robots." These character designs encompass a wide emotional range—from approachable and humorous to intentionally intimidating—with each explicitly engineered by the students to counteract negative behaviors.
Synthesis & Execution
During the design integration phase, individual student illustrations are synthesized into a singular, cohesive composition. This process merges recurring thematic features harmoniously while carefully preserving highly unique elements to ensure individual student representation. In coordination with school administration, the finalized design is then executed onto a prominent campus wall or durable plywood panels.
Pedagogical Impact
The completed mural serves as a permanent visual anchor for the institution. Because each student actively contributes to the design process, they can directly identify their input within the collective artwork. This shared creative ownership fosters deep student engagement and reinforces a long-term community commitment to bullying prevention.

In a nutshell:
•Students openly discuss bullying and design unique "anti-bullying robots" to counter negative behaviors.
•Individual student drawings are synthesized into a single, cohesive composition that blends recurring themes while keeping unique elements.
•The final design is painted on-site, providing a lasting, collaborative artwork that students can identify with.
This initiative strengthens school community engagement through collective art by creating a totem animal for them to be committed to through engagement in the process and ensuring every student has a part in the final mural.
