I was lucky to be invited to the Malmö Illustrations Festival, held in the legendary Ögon Cacao factory building in Malmö in October 2025, to host a specialized character design workshop.
The session was designed as an interactive, hands-on masterclass for artists and enthusiasts looking to bring original character ideas to life. During the workshop, participants explored the foundational elements of visual storytelling, learning how to translate unique personalities and backstories into distinct visual traits. Under my guidance, attendees experimented with shape psychology, expressive posing, and distinct color palettes to give their creations depth and emotion.
The festival visitors proved to be incredibly talented, collaborative, and eager to learn. By the end of the session, every participant had developed and finalized a series of beautiful, complex characters under my supervision.
