Instructional History
Since 2018, I have facilitated multiple specialized workshops across the international network of TUMO Centers for Creative Technologies. My instructional background includes leading courses at TUMO Yerevan, TUMO Paris, and TUMO Berlin.
Curriculum and Rationale
The workshop curriculum focuses on the core principles of graphic design and illustration, using the skateboard deck as the central medium. The skateboard serves as a highly effective pedagogical tool due to its unique physical format, which challenges students to work within specific spatial constraints. Furthermore, its strong connection to youth subculture naturally enhances student engagement and motivation.
Pedagogical Process
The instructional methodology prioritizes student autonomy, granting participants creative freedom to explore their own concepts. The learning process follows a structured design workflow:
Ideation: Students analyze the design format and produce initial analog sketches.
Digital Execution: Participants utilize professional software tools to translate their sketches into realistic digital mockups.
Summative Assessment: The workshop culminates in a formal presentation. Students showcase their completed designs and articulate their creative concepts to an audience composed of school faculty and parents.
